1st Karnali International Film Festival 2080: Under the slogan “Let’s Explore Karnali, See Karnali,” the festival was held on 18th-19th Falgun 2080 (1st–2nd March 2024) at the Nepal Tourism Board, Bhrikuti Mandap, Kathmandu. The event was inaugurated by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Mr. Purna Bahadur Khadka, and was attended by 600 participants. The festival included panel discussions on Karnali’s film and tourism, native stories, and the role of the state in film development in Karnali.
