KIFF Organizes Tree Plantation Program to Raise Climate Change Awareness

The Karnali International Film Festival (KIFF) has been organizing various programs and initiatives to raise awareness about climate change, environmental protection, and global warming.

As part of this continued effort, a tree plantation program was organized at Tilganga, Kathmandu, on September 5, 2026.

The program was attended by KIFF Board officials, social activists, Bagmati River cleanup campaigners, and other stakeholders. Participants planted trees and discussed the growing impacts of climate change, as well as the opportunities and challenges observed in the field of environmental conservation.

The program reflects KIFF’s long-standing commitment to promoting climate awareness and encouraging collective action for a greener and more sustainable future. Through film, dialogue, environmental campaigns, and community-based initiatives, the festival aims to amplify the message that protecting nature is a shared responsibility.

KIFF believes that addressing climate change and global warming requires not only policy and institutional action but also meaningful participation from communities and individuals.
