After the inauguration ceremony of the Karnali International Film Festival, the Karnali Tourism Dialogue Panel was organized.
The panel discussion featured Karnali Province Minister of Tourism Suresh Adhikari, Chairperson of Gurans Rural Municipality Top BC, former President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Bhawani Rana, writer Dr. Mahendra Kumar Mall, and Padam Bahadur Shahi, the President of the Karnali Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The session was facilitated by journalist Purushottam Sapkota.
Conclusion:
Recognizing the significant potential of tourism and filmmaking in Karnali, the provincial government committed to implementing strategic policies. It was decided that the government would allocate a budget of one crore rupees to support film and tourism development and initiate infrastructure programs to enhance the sector.
The Karnali International Film Festival has been supported by the Film Development Board, Nepal Tourism Board, Karnali Provincial Government, Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forests, and Environment, Birendranagar Municipality, Gurans Rural Municipality, Kushe Rural Municipality, Mahabai Rural Municipality, Tatopani Rural Municipality, S.J. International, Nabil Bank, Muktinath Development Bank, Expert Education & Visa, National Life Insurance, Hotel Shubha, and various other organizations.
