The festival has been organized every year with the objective of bringing Karnali’s hidden stories to national and international platforms.
Speaking at the event, actor Pradeep Khadka emphasized that Karnali should be viewed with pride, not pity. He stated, “Karnali is the birthplace of our language, literature, art, and culture. Although Nepali cinema may have started later, we are not behind in originality. If Nepali films are to be taken to new heights, Karnali can become their center,” highlighting that the festival aims to connect film and tourism from cities to villages.
