A panel discussion on the topics of cinema and tourism was held in Karnali. The discussion featured the participation of federal MP Honorable Gyanendra Shahi, Gurans Municipality Chairperson Mr. Top Bahadur BC, Senior Manager of the Tourism Development Board Mr. Surya Thapaliya, and actress Ms. Suraksha Pant. The discussion was conducted by writer and journalist Bikash Subedi, with the panel being chaired by writer and former registrar Dr. Mahendra Kumar Mall.

In this panel, the responsibilities that the three levels of government must undertake for the development of Nepali cinema and the promotion of tourism in Karnali were discussed. It was emphasized that promoting tourism at the local level through cinema would contribute to local income generation, and therefore, everyone should be involved in the development of cinema and tourism. The panel concluded with suggestions that local and provincial governments should facilitate film shooting and advance it in a planned manner.
