actor Pradeep Khadka’s movie 26 Crores will be filmed in various locations across Karnali.
The second edition of the Karnali International Film Festival was successfully held on Falgun 25-26 in Surkhet and Dailekh, Karnali. Organized by Red Cherry in collaboration with the Film Development Board, the festival saw the participation of around 1,000 attendees. The event was inaugurated by Karnali Province Chief Minister Yamlal Kandel, who, in his opening speech, stated that Karnali is an ideal destination for film shooting.
Festival Director Chakrabahadur Chand emphasized that the festival aims to promote Karnali as a film tourism destination. He highlighted that the festival is not just about hosting events but also about delivering tangible results. In this regard, it was announced that actor Pradeep Khadka’s movie 26 Crores will be filmed in various locations across Karnali. The film, directed by writer and senior journalist Bikas Subedi, was formally agreed to be shot in Karnali during the festival.
The movie will showcase Karnali’s stories and tourist attractions on a grand scale. To support this initiative, the provincial government, local bodies, and the entire Karnali region will collaborate, as stated by the festival director.
