Karnali International Film Festival has also been organizing various programs to raise awareness about climate change. In this context, a tree plantation program was organized at Guheshwori, Kathmandu, on August 12, 2026, to mark World Youth Day 2026.
The program was attended by KIF Board officials, filmmakers, social activists, and other stakeholders. During the program, discussions were also held on the opportunities and challenges observed in the field. This signifies the motive the festivals is promoting from a long time which is to stop the climate change and global warming
